THE ORBITAL 500R DEVELOPMENT IS NOT SUBJECT TO BREXIT IMPACTS & CHANGES

Our assessment of Brexit in relation to our project is that we do not believe it will have any negative impact on either the technological nor commercial delivery of the project. Any immediate perturbations associated with supplies from the EU are offset by all of the primary European suppliers having associated UK establishments through which to supply services. The production phase for the programme remains reasonably distant (from 2022) and the post Brexit scenario is likely to have consolidated by then permitting make or buy decisions relevant to any new dispensation rather than being sub optimised by any Brexit related changes. In regulatory terms, Space remains a globally regulated industry and we do not envisage Brexit introducing any additional requirements not already present. From a UK perspective, Brexit creates a particular strategic focus on such technologies and we expect that the UK Government will expand its support for technology programmes such as ours and as such increased grant and funding support, mitigating the risk of investors, is a likely Brexit outcome. So on balance we see Brexit as a net positive for our programme rather than a negative.
